| Resumo: | Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is a very common disease that affects people who do not consume alcohol significantly, with an increase in patients with obesity, diabetes mellitus and hyperlipidemia. Anthropometric measurements and biochemical parameters have been proposed as useful and simple methods predictors of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, so the aim of this study was to establish the prevalence and anthropometric and clinical variables - Analytical associated with fatty liver disease Nonalcoholic source in type 2 diabetic patients attending the consultation of Internal Medicine Hospital Basic Huaquillas. The research was descriptive, prospective and cross. The universe consisted of 159 patients with diabetes type 1 and 2 who attended the consultation of Internal Medicine between the months of August to December 2015. The sample consisted of 70 patients with type 2 diabetes aged between 30 and 80 years, subject to the inclusion criteria. According to the results it found that there is a lower prevalence of NAFLD represented by 44% compared to 56% of patients with other etiological triggers; prevalent in females with 74%. Patients with 6-12 years of evolution of diabetes have fatty liver Grade II (22%). 54% percent body obesity, predominantly Grade I with 34%, while 77% have abdominal obesity. 91% at high risk and 9% very high risk for cardiovascular disease. High values was evidenced in the Grade I foie gras with 34% glucose, 36% triglycerides and alkaline phosphatase 35%; and the Grade II elevated cholesterol was 69% and 71% TGP. Of the 70 patients studied was determined that all have hypertension (100%), 26% peripheral vascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, 19% and 4% ischemic myocardial disease. Finally, it was determined that 59% have fatty liver Grade II, while 41% fatty liver Grade I.
