Summary:This research, aimed to: Implement a program to enhance social skills in students parallel eighth year Basic Education "A", the Municipal Education Unit, Catamayo. In a descriptive cross-sectional study with a quasi-experimental design, based on methods: scientific, inductive- deductive, analytic, synthetic, comprehensive, diagnostic and statistical modeling was used as an instrument of social skills questionnaire and scale of social skills applied a sample of 30 students. Results: regarding the diagnosis is that 76.67 not ask the teacher in class, plus the 93.33% did not apologize when they are wrong; compared to pre-test: 83.67% of the investigated show deficits of conversational and relational skills and 70.0% had difficulties assertiveness; Post-test: 83.33%, improved their ability to relate properly, like assertiveness with 66.66% in the same manner with 60% the resolution of conflicts, to act peacefully and non-violently. We conclude that the research population has a deficit in the management of social skills for the most part; after the intervention an improvement is achieved in interpersonal social relations expertise in the moderate positive correlation to enhance social skills
