The general objective was to contribute to the dissemination of the Suite Cumandá by the composer Byron Obando Mayorga for violin and symphony orchestra through the analysis and interpretation of movements three, seven and nine. For the present work, the qualitative approach was carried out, applying an interview with the composer under study to delve into aspects related to the musical work of the composer Obando Mayorga. Among the most relevant results, after having analyzed the interview applied to the composer, it can be said that the work Cumandá initially consisted of twenty chapters. However, the composer tried to narrate the entire story musically but in fewer movements, considering that each represents various Ecuadorian rhythms. Regarding the most relevant conclusion of this project, it can be mentioned that when carrying out the formal musical analysis of the work, it allowed us to know that it is impregnated by the avant-garde style with a nationalist tendency, thus improving the understanding and interpretation of the construction site. Keywords: musical analysis,ecuadorian music, violin instrumentEl presente Trabajo de Integración Curricular surge ante la necesidad de dar a conocer el repertorio académico ecuatoriano para el instrumento violín, con la finalidad de que no reposen solamente en archivos, sino también, sean interpretadas y difundidas. El objetivo general fue contribuir con la difusión de la Suite Cumandá del compositor Byron Obando Mayorga para violín y orquesta sinfónica a través del análisis e interpretación de los movimientos tres, siete y nueve. Para el presente trabajo se llevó a cabo el enfoque cualitativo, aplicando una entrevista al compositor en estudio, con el propósito de profundizar en aspectos relacionados con la obra musical del compositor Obando Mayorga. Dentro de los resultados más relevantes, después de haber realizado un análisis de la entrevista aplicada al compositor, se puede decir que originalmente la obra Cumandá, consta de veinte capítulos, sin embargo, el compositor trató de narrar musicalmente toda la historia, pero en menos movimientos, tomando en consideración que cada uno de estos, representa varios ritmos ecuatorianos. Con respecto a la conclusión más relevante de este proyecto, se puede mencionar que, al realizar el análisis musical formal de la obra, permitió conocer que se encuentra impregnada por el estilo vanguardista con tendencia nacionalista, mejorando así la comprensión e interpretación de la obra.
