Gaia:This thesis builds on the guidelines of the standard system, Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) which allows digital terrestrial broadcasting (RDT), specifically version DRM +, ultimate, which allows the transmission of digital audio is taken and data in the current band II (88-108MHz) for analogue broadcasting on frequency modulation (FM). This thesis consists of 5 chapters distributed as follows: Chapter 1 addresses basic issues such as: the beginnings of radio in Ecuador, watchdogs telecommunications in Ecuador, legal regulations, radio spectrum bands, basic precepts of analog broadcasting. In Chapter 2, are addressed: the basic principles of digital terrestrial broadcasting (RDT), compared to analogue broadcasting, advantages and facilities of the new digital radio service that allows RDT basic outline of a system also addresses RDT, is included in this chapter also a very brief description of some other existing systems digital sound broadcasting in the market. In Chapter 3, we study the DRM system chosen as the fundamental basis of this study, this chapter addresses topics such as: system origin, benefits and services, major system components, types of coding and modulation used, method hybrid or simulcast transmission, etc. The Chapter 4, it has analyzed the current situation of the University Radio 98.5FM, which are the basic equipment with which the station is currently, technical data authorized operation of the current system architecture transmission simulation of the radio links that are currently operating, and coverage analysis of analog broadcasting system. Finally in Chapter 5, we show the design of a digital terrestrial broadcasting system, which will allow the hybrid transmission station, both analogue and digital, of your programming.
