Summary:Adventure tourism is essential for local development in a tourist destination, so the present work was carried out with the objective of strengthening the tourist attractions: the Overlook "Shiriculapo" and the Mountain "Pisaca" of Paltas canton through adventure tourism, these attractions are considered as the most outstanding of the canton through the records raised in the Sustainable Tourism Strategic Plans (PETS), where these natural attractions were identified as priorities. The present work has as a general objective to strengthen the natural tourist attractions of the Shiriculapo Overlook and Pisaca Mountain of the Paltas canton through adventure tourism, in the same way, three specific objectives were established such as: Diagnose the current situation of the Shiriculapo Overlook and Pisaca Mountain from the Paltas canton; Determine the needs of potential demand for adventure tourism in the Shiriculapo Overlook and Pisaca Mountain in the Paltas canton; and finally, Propose strategies for the implementation of adventure tourism sports for the tourist development of the Paltas canton, for the investigation the deductive method was applied through which the main information of the tourist attractions was collected, the descriptive method allowed to analyze the information obtained from the primary and secondary sources to verifying how the tourist attractions are located, some research techniques were also used such as: direct observation, interviews that allowed collecting accurate information on the attractions and the economically active population, surveys and the SWOT analysis to know the strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats, the Cross SWOT was also developed with which the strategies in the implementation of adventure sports such as tourism promotion and strategic alliances were determined. According to the results obtained, in the tourist diagnosis, it was found that the town has an infrastructure, services and tourist resources such as accommodation, food, tourist information, among other important aspects that allow the tourist to select the place for tourism. The tourist attractions allow the practice of adventure sports such as: cycling, hiking, camping, rappelling or descents, climbing and slacklining or tightrope; the last one would be used as a complementary activity.
