Summary:This research work was conducted at the Provincial Hospital Isidro Ayora of Loja; on the immediate postpartum complications of vaginal delivery in adolescent patients, this study was descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional comprised 168 patients of these 65 met the inclusion criteria during the period January to July 2014. Of these 55.4 % major complication presented as perineal tears, followed by incomplete delivery 21.5%, 13.8% uterine atony, postpartum hemorrhage and hypotonia 7.7% 1.5%. The incidence of these patients with immediate postpartum complications was 38.7%. Patients were enrolled with a gestational age between 38-39 weeks 61.5%, 39 to 40 weeks 16.9%, 37 to 38 weeks increased 13.9% and 7.7% to 40 weeks. In relation to the rate 86.2% were primiparous and 13.8% secundíparas. 87.7% over 5 controls were performed during pregnancy, while 12.3% had less than 5 checks. As for hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, 4.6% had antecedent mild preeclampsia and gestational hypertension 3.1%. 55.3% had no pre-natal anemia, while the remaining patients presented; 33.9% in mildly and moderately 10.8%.
