Description
Résumé:This research aimed to find the relationship between family types and the students' behavioural adaptation in the 10th year of Educación General Básica at Unidad Educativa del Milenio Bernardo Valdivieso period 2022. An exploratory, descriptive and correlational cross-sectional methodology was applied. The sample was selected using the non-probabilistic display technique and included the participation of 105 adolescent students belonging to the morning section, between the ages of 14 and 16. A socio-demographic form was applied to identify the type of family they come from and the Cruz and Cordero Adaptive Behaviour Inventory (ABI), which enabled us to determine the students' level of adaptation in personal, family, educational and social areas. The results determined that there is no statistically significant relationship (p >= 0.05) between family types and the students' behavioural adaptation. The majority of the students came from nuclear family types with 56.2%, which presented a high level of social adaptation and a low level of family adaptation; the monoparental family with 31.4% presented a high level of social adaptation and a low level of family adaptation; similarly, a lower prevalence was found in the extended family types with 7.6%, where a medium level of personal and educational adaptation was concentrated, and the reconstituted family with 4.8%, which presented a high level of social adaptation and a low level of family adaptation. Based on the results, it is recommended to carry out future research to identify other variables related to the behavioural adaptation of adolescents
