| Резюме: | Propolis and sangre de drago sangre de drago sangre de drago sangre de drago sangre de drago sangre de drago sangre de drago sangre de drago sangre de drago sangre de drago sangre de drago sangre de drago have antibacterial, antioxidant, antifungal and wound healing properties. The am ve of this research was to evaluate propolis and sangre de drago (Croton lechleri) as cicatrizants. 11female rabbits of 6 months old Flanders Giant breed were used, in which four surgical wounds were performed at the level of the dorsum of approximately 1 cm and each wound contributed to one experimental unit. The rabbits were anesthetized for the surgical process and 1 of the 4 treatments was applied in each wound: T1 (propolis 30%), T2 (propolis 10%), T3 (sangre de drago), T4 (physiological solution, NaCl 0.9%), within an interval of 24 hours for 5 days with three spray applications (2.4 ml). Daily measurements of the different variables were taken until 21 days post-surgery. No treatment effect was observed on scar size (p>0.05). In the scar area no effect of the treatment was observed (p>0.05), the percentage of healing with propolis 10% was 98.6% and sangre de drago was 96.6%. No effect of treatment was observed in temperature values (p>0.05). In healing time, treatment effect was observed (p=0.05246), which propolis 30% had a shorter healing time (15.27± 2.4) days different from the physiological solution (19.0 ± 3.8) days. On the other hand, there was no difference with the other treatments, 10% propolis (16.7 ±2.41) and Sangre de drago (16.9 ± 3.5). The microorganisms found in the skin scraping in the culture media were Staphylococcus epidermidis, Enterococcus faecalis, and Escherichia coli. In the culture and antibiogram using the natural products, sangre de drago presented greater antimicrobial effect in comparison with propolis 30 and 10%, and control group; with a volume of 20 μl the inhibition zone for Staphylococcus epidermidis was 16 mm, Enterococcus faecalis 22 mm and Escherichia coli 24 mm, in comparison with 10 μl all bacteria obtained an inhibition of less than 19 mm. Propolis at 30 % with a volume of 20 μl the inhibition was 16 mm and for Propolis at 10 % it was 9 mm. The use of 30% propolis reduces the healing time compared to the use of physiological solution. Dragon's blood is shown to be more efficient as an antimicrobial. Key words: Flavonoids, wound, epidermis, granulation, collagen. |
