Crynodeb:Good environmental practices are those actions that aim to reduce the negative impacts caused by productive processes in the changes in the organization of processes and activities. The general objective of this research work is to propose good environmental practices for the development of tourist activities on San Gregorio Island, Santa Rosa Canton, El Oro Province, with two specific objectives. The first was to carry out a diagnosis of the environmental practices of the resources water, electric energy and solid waste, through direct observation, for the development of this an interview was conducted with the administrator of the island, where the questions were formulated based on the criteria (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) GSTC, also a matrix was made in which the weight of compliance of the three resources was measured, obtaining as a result the degree of commitment to sustainability and the radial graphic representation was made. The MINTUR matrices were used for environmental management of the three resources, and a survey was made of the clients who stayed on the island to know their perception of good environmental practices. The second objective was to develop a manual of good sustainable environmental practices for the island's managers and tourists, using the data obtained from the first objective as a reference for the Rainforest Alliance's manual of good sustainable environmental practices. It was determined that there is a lack of knowledge about BPA because there is no management plan on how to minimize water, energy and solid waste. It is concluded that the three resources have a low performance, which means that they require total intervention by the administration.
