Descripció
Sumari:This research aims to evaluate the perceived service quality of the Growing-up with our children project, in the Selva Alegre parish in the Saraguro canton, in Loja province during the year 2023. In pursuit of this objective, the following specific goals have been stablished: to describe the current situation of the Growing-up with our children project in the parish and, to measure the perception of the service quality provided by the project through the first semester of 2023, and thereby propose areas for improvement to enhance the quality of the service offered by the project. The methodology used in this study was based on a mixed approach, incorporating techniques such as document review, surveys, and interviews. The instrument used to measure the perception of quality was the SERVPERF questionnaire, adapted with 24 statements divided into 5 dimensions that constitute the service: initial technical aspects, family counseling, family and community participation, risk and protective environments, and territorial monitoring and support as established in the Technical Standard Growing-up with our children Service 2023 issued by the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion (for its acronym in Spanish MIES). The questionnaire was run to 60 beneficiaries who evaluate each dimension using a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. The overall perception of the services had an average score of 4,02 out of 5, which indicated a qualitative assessment of good. Despite the overall positive evaluation, there are aspects within each dimension that need consideration for continuous improvement in project implementation. The findings from this study provide a valuable foundation for decision-making and the design of strategies aimed to optimizing service quality.
