Summary: | One of the substantive functions of the National University of Loja is the connection with society, that why the project "Implementation of an educational model with technical-scientific management for the improvement of multisensory development of priority groups" is currently approved. To comply with this project is necessary to cover the need to develop an informatic application for registering, follow-up, and management of activities done by disabled people that assist in specialized centers known as multisensory rooms, as well as to generate advanced indicators of sessions carried in these centers. Based on this, the objective of this Degree Project (DP) is to develop a computer application to record activities in a multisensory room prototype and create indicators with the information recorded in the bout, to answer the following research question: Through what mechanism can indicator of the processes used to record the activities developed in stimulation therapies in a multisensory room prototype be create? This project consisted of three phases; in the first phase, the requirements of the software solution were defined, through face-to-face meetings with the team in charge of the linkage project, information was obtained about the process used to record activities in a multisensory room. From there, the requirements specification document was generated based on the IEEE-830 standard and the user stories. In the second phase, phases two and three of the XP methodology were developed. For the design phase, we worked with the 4+1 architectural model, which provided a plus to this stage to document the entire architecture of the system. For the coding phase, the project worked in two environments (backend and frontend), making necessary to stack of JavaScript-based technologies called MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) was used. In third phase of the project, unit tests of the web services were performed using the Postman tool, functional tests, which were performed based on the functional requirements of the software application and user stories, and finally, acceptance tests. In this way, it has concluded that one of the mechanisms to generate indicators of the activity registration processes was through statistical graphs of the data recorded in the sessions with users with disabilities, which allows the researchers of the linkage project to verify the progress of the psychoeducational capabilities of each user, to have key and simplified information for decision making and to evaluate the performance of the implemented educational model. Keywords: Software development, Stack MERN, multisensory room, XP Methodology, Web application. |
