總結:Education is the foundation for the development of society; hence, it is essential for teachers to employ active methodologies in the educational process that help stimulate the construction of 21st-century skills and competencies in students. In this context, the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) methodology emerges as the most suitable option to develop logical-mathematical thinking. Therefore, the present research, entitled "STEAM methodology and logical-mathematical thinking," aims to determine the impact of the STEAM methodology on strengthening logical-mathematical thinking in the third grade of the José Ingenieros Basic Education School. To achieve this objective, three specific objectives were pursued. Firstly, to diagnose logical-mathematical thinking in the third-grade students and teacher. Secondly, to design an improvement proposal, and finally, to evaluate the incidence of the STEAM methodology on logical-mathematical thinking. In this study, a mixed approach (qualitative and quantitative), descriptive type, and non-experimental design were used. Scientific, statistical, analytical, synthetic, and descriptive methods were applied, along with observation, teacher interviews, and pre and post evaluations. The research population comprised the José Ingenieros school, from which 24 students and one teacher from third grade "A" were selected through non-probabilistic sampling. Based on the results, it could be concluded that the implementation of the STEAM methodology positively influences the development of logical-mathematical thinking. By encouraging active knowledge construction through experimentation and play, children assimilate, comprehend mathematical concepts, reflect, and propose solutions.
