Estudio geológico - geotécnico para la ampliación de la vía Sauce - San Antonio kilómetro 4.5 - 9, a nivel de lastrado, ubicado en el cantón Paltas, provincia de Loja.

The present research work entailed “Studies geologic” geologic study for the enlargement of the way Sauce san Antonio kilometer 4.5-9 ballast level located in the canton Paltas province of Loja” in has as a porpoise to describe the properties of the present materials in the study jone from of geogical and geotechnical view for this. I made the topographic and geological gathering its area is 448.07 hectares its dimensions area 1008 meter above sea level that corresponds to the slowest part growing progressively to the 1296 meters above sea level locally the geology of the survey place has two principal measurement units Catacocha Constituted by Tobas Riolíticas The geotechnical exploration was made through out the application of direct and indirect methods, the piches that make part of the direct methods gave pass to the classification of the soils in the white way the were classified in 3 obtaining a soil A-2-4 according to the classification AASTHO belongs to the graval and sand clay loams; about to the indirect methods was applied the vertical electric probes in a number of there obtaining resistivity valves from 6.31 meters to 91.9 meters ranges that were classified according to the geological place, for the characterization of the rock mass I made 3 essays about uniaxial comprehension obtaining efforts from 264.27 kg/cm2 to 477.18 kg/cm2 though the window method got the ROD as a result RMR of the type if it belongs at the good.
