The general objective was to analyze the content published in the print media of the city of Loja (La Hora, Crónica, Ecotel Press and Hora32), in 2019 and 2020, about the four raymis of the Saraguro culture and determine whether the information content helps to strengthen the ancestral practices of the Saraguro people. In order to fulfill the objectives, the news broadcasted in the four media about the ancestral activities of the Saraguros during the years 2019 and 2020 were analyzed. In this context, analysis sheets, surveys to journalists, interviews to editors of written media and specialists of the customs and traditions of the Saraguro people were used. In the development of the research it was possible to notice the scarce diffusion of the Raymis and their meaning for the Andean people in the written media. Interculturality has not yet been incorporated as a transversal axis in the country's universities, in this case Andean epistemology in the curricula of the Social Communication career. As a result of this lack of knowledge, the raymis are focused as tourist events in the communities, losing the cultural and ancestral sense of the celebrations. The frequency with which intercultural contents are addressed is limited. It is important to maintain the validity of these ancestral activities, for them we have created a guide for the investigation, management and diffusion of the raymis in the media. Key words: Cultural, ancestral festivities, raymis guide, raymis printed media in saraguro. |
