La fotografía documental como herramienta de difusión de las tradiciones y costumbres del pueblo Kichwa Otavalo

The present document talks about diffusion of Kichwa Otavalo traditions throw documental photograph. focus on potential of a privilege city with the richest cultural immaterial, which it is manifested in the traditions and customs of the Kichwa people that currently need to be spread so that the new generations value their identity. The investigation started with the identification of the levels, diffusion of the traditions and customs through the application of tools such as the survey to a part of the population with a sample of 268 people in an urban parish and two rural ones. Through the results obtained it was identified that the customs and traditions of the Kichwa Otavalo people are unknown and tend to disappear and even the cultural identity and the Kichwa language are being lost. It was also detected that there are few means of disseminating the traditions and customs of the Kichwa Otavalo people, so it is necessary to develop a proposal that contributes with the correct diffusion, supported by tools such as photographic documents and its ease of visual communication to create a solution to a social problem.
