Sistema de gestión de información del observatorio de comercio exterior e inversión extranjera Universidad de Otavalo

The present investigation project develops an information management system, that will allow the creation of a database of the processes that will be carried out at the Observatory of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of the University of Otavalo as a management tool, for the collection, processing, validation and publication of information, contributing to the expansion of knowledge or generation of debate environments based on information. The objective of the investigation is to obtain a manual of the Information Management System of the Foreign Trade Observatory. For this, the theoretical bases were analyzed that helped to have a better vision for the development of this project, the importance they have within the global world, management systems, information systems with the respective regulatory framework that must be applied for the application of the management system where a study methodology was applied taking into account a mixed approach, an exploratory research design and a type of bibliographic and field research. Chapter two focuses on the methodological framework in which the project was developed based on instruments such as the observation and collection of information, functional and non-functional requirements and the validation of the information system. Finally, a user manual was created that aims to provide the user with a practical guide on how to navigate the management system and how each of the processes that are part of the Observatory portal works.
