Riassunto:Priority care groups are served by public and private social organizations, who fight for the fulfillment of the rights of these groups. However, children and adolescents are prone to the violation of their rights by depending on the care of their parents, since they cannot meet their basic needs on their own. This research work aims to contribute to the rights of children and adolescents through the formulation of strategies to improve home visits as tools of social intervention. The study was carried out in a private social organization, located in the province of Pichincha, which provides institutional care to children and adolescents from 0 to 17 years old. The institution is financed by international religious institutions and agreements with the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion. Data collection was based on the application of qualitative ethnographic tools. The results were oriented in the realization of a technical guide for the development of home visits in social intervention, based on the prevention of the two main causes of institutional care of children and adolescents: child abuse and neglect.
