Historically in societies, subjects with disabilities have been neglected in terms of health, education and justice, for being considered incapable or for the myth of not being aware when they are violated. Faced with this reality, the Ecuadorian state, through its Legislation has generated a series of legal and social resources for the recognition of their rights and protection, trying to guarantee the enjoyment of a full life according to their abilities, for this purpose the National Council for Equality of Disabilities has implemented a registry that allows having real statistics on this population. |

Históricamente en las sociedades, los sujetos con discapacidad han sido desatendidos a nivel de salud, educación y justicia, por ser consideradas incapaces o por el mito de no ser conscientes cuando son vulneradas.
