During this stage teenagers face a difficultperiod, packed with conflict typical of their age, this article aims to research the effects ofcovid 19 on social skills, in adolescents from Unidad Educative Bautista Charles Spurgeon,it´s important to stress that these skills are clearly defined in three, emotional skills, socialskills and cognitive skills which are abilities that allow the teenager to develop and adapt indifferent environments in which it develops its actions. This research, used a mixedapproach quantitative at a descriptive level, running a survey on google forms, the samplechosen was 65 students between the ages of 15 and 17 years old, 38 females and 27 males.The results obtained, reveals that indeed many skills were affected especially in the socioemotional context, teenagers' spontaneity was limited causing stress and depression, and negative management of emotions, resolution of problems and conflicts, on the other hand,family relationships were strengthened furthermore through virtuality, the interrelation with their peers continued. The pandemic limited their physical spaces, therefore, their privacyand intimacy, transforming the physical social experience into a virtual social experience,all these aspects have put in danger the mental health of teenagers. |
