Riassunto:The objective of this research was to determine how the Scientific Method contributes to the learning of the Biology subject in first-year high school students at the "Jorge Mantilla Ortega" Educational Unit, the focus of the research is of a qualitative nature since it was analyzed through free observation of a subjective reality in which the lack of adequate spaces caused a deficiency in the application of the Scientific Method, which did not favor the consolidation of conceptual contents in which the use of experimentation is required as a procedural element in the process of academic training. To achieve the objectives of the research, an interview was applied as an instrument from which the analysis data was obtained. The results highlighted the importance of the Scientific Method in the teaching-learning process of Natural Sciences in the subject of Biology, elucidating concerns that arise when we are going to start the subject of Biology in the sub-level of high school, concerns such as: How to do Is the teaching-learning process meaningful? What is the importance of the Scientific Method? The results highlight that participating in a new proposal allows integrating successful initiatives and activities in the development of students' scientific thinking. In conclusion, it was possible to appreciate that the Scientific Method in high school students allows awakening interest in discovering and carrying out an orderly and systematic knowledge transfer using constructivism as a bridge to transfer the acquired knowledge to daily life, thus achieving significant learning.
