Resumo:This thesis examined the multifaceted issues that hinder young students from achieving good English pronunciation. Key problems identified included tone, intonation, and difficulty speaking at a natural pace. Through a series of in-depth interviews with teachers, the study analyzed the strategies they currently used to address pronunciation problems. The results showed that despite employing a variety of methods, pronunciation was often not prioritized in language teaching, leading to limited student progress. This study highlighted the need for greater emphasis on pronunciation in the curriculum and provided insights into more effective teaching strategies to support young learners in their language acquisition. By examining these barriers, the study shed light on the challenges young learners face in achieving clear and accurate pronunciation. By analyzing the strategies, they used to overcome these difficulties, the study revealed the dynamic interaction between pronunciation and other important language skills such as listening comprehension and writing.
