The design of the wireless network, the selection of the necessary equipment and the area of coverage in which the service can be offered are the needs to be covered as well as the signal levels to offer a service that meets the requirements of the Arcotel. The project design and simulation of the network is complemented by a study of the cost of implementing the WISP Core. |

The project design and simulation of the network is complemented by a study of the cost of implementing the WISP Core.El presente trabajo tiene la finalidad de realizar un estudio de diseño y simulación de una red de un Wireless Internet Service Provider que pueda brindar el servicio de acceso a Internet en la ciudad de Pedernales en la Provincia de Manabí, Ecuador. Uno de los objetivos del presente proyecto es reducir la brecha tecnológica, y hacer que más personas tengan el acceso apropiado hacia redes convergentes, así como a nuevos productos creando con esto de forma local la autosuficiencia, empleo y recursos que se invertirán para poder lograr un mejor posicionamiento, en especial, del turismo en esta ciudad. El diseño de la red inalámbrica, la selección del equipamiento necesario y el área de cobertura en la que se pueda ofrecer el servicio son las necesidades por cubrir; así como los niveles de señal para ofrecer un servicio que cumpla con los requerimientos de la Arcotel.
