Después de realizar un análisis exhaustivo sobre los postulados aristotélicos se aborda la posición de filósofos de otros tiempos y con otros puntos de vista como por ejemplo, Tomás de Aquino, Hegel, Parménides, Heráclito y Karl Marx, donde se hace énfasis tanto en aquellos que fueron sus seguidores como los que se opusieron a sus conceptos o los modificaron. En este aspecto se destacan los aportes de estos filósofos a los conceptos primarios que dio Aristóteles sobre acto y potencia.
