Its starting point is the savings, which is achieved by producing more than they consume and stimulating in every person's self-control and programming.La presente investigación tiene como objetivo general desarrollar propuestas que permitan incrementar los indicadores de ahorro a nivel de la Cooperativa Codesarrollo y de las instituciones con las que esta colabora, además de optimizar el desempeño de los programas y planes de ahorro, evaluar la percepción de los clientes con respecto al sistema de ahorro e implementar posibles mejoras y evaluar su desempeño dentro de las Finanzas Populares. La insuficiente cultura de ahorro, la tendencia al consumismo, la ausencia de la visión solidaria, entre otros factores, son los causantes de que la población de escasos recursos, no logren desarrollar su potencial empresarial y comunitario, es por esta razón que la propuesta está ligada a la aplicación de las finanzas populares que son un elemento poderoso para vencer la pobreza.
