Opis
Streszczenie:This work was carried out in the Galápagos Islands, study center for the Santa Cruz Island. The sites where data was collected were in the damp zone (Los Gemelos) and in the arid zone (Barranco of Charles Darwin Foundation, FCD). Endoparasites were identified in species of Darwin's finches like: Woodpecker Finch (Camarhynchus pallidus), Medium Ground Finch (Geospiza fortis) and Small Tree Finch (Camarhynchus parvulus), both in captivity and in the wild. With the objectives of: 1) Identify and assess the impact of the endoparasites species in stool samples, 2) Verify in the load of endoparasites in samples collected at different times of the day, 3) Know in load of endoparasites in the first four weeks in captivity, 4) Determine whether there are differences in the load of endoparasites between the humid and arid zone, 5) Compare the load of endoparasites of finches in captivity vs. wild finches and 6)Effectiveness of an antiparasitic.
