Resumo:The reflections on multiculturalism are in development and thus raising questions about the practice of this idea, so that does not remain mere speculation but it is a reality; besides rescuing the ambivalences and breaks that exist in reference to the central theme. The present work has as main purpose to reflect about multiculturalism and its relationship to education, but the intention helps the reader keep ending a deepened reflection and follow it. For an explanation of the topic, some conceptualizations of multiculturalism are presented from the philosophical approach; Some characterizations with pedagogical perspectives that supplement the analysis from the philosophy, then with appropriations and sense of multiculturalism in the Latin American context are addressed. The theme of the document is part of the attempt to reach an objective reflection and critical observation of the educational phenomenon and proposed.
