La memoria social leyendas de Quito: caso Ecuela Julio María Matovelle sector Real Audiencia

The main objective of this work is to search and find an alternative ways communication that allows the recovery of social memory of youth regarding the redefinition of the Legends of Quito. Firstly, this thesis is based on research into the concepts of culture, social memory, socialization and orality as Tradition and transmission of knowledge. Hence, it proposes a journey on the history of the most relevant mass media from a traditional perspective. It ends with an alternative approach, regarding along lines the link between mass media and quiteñan legends. Some its examples comes from press print, radio, TV and internet. Finally, proposes a description of unidad educativa Julio María Matovelle, in Real Audiencia neighbor, which is the institution where the research was conducted were the methodology used to prepare the final product was made: to obtain an alternative channel of communication: The children's book Mis Leyendas Quiteñas. It was created based on the Legends of Quito, popular and not so well known, whit writings and drawings designed by seventh grade students.
