Summary:The purpose of this technical project is to build and design a smart parachute prototype for drones for the Salesian Polytechnic University Sede Quito - Campus Sur. The construction of the intelligent parachute, is based on the concurrent design which will have different equipment such as sensors, GPS module, actuators, an ARDUINO card, which will realize the activation of the intelligent parachute according to the conditions established for each sensor. The GPS module is located and operated by an application developed in App Inventor, allowing with this project fundamental aspects of knowledge related to Microprocessed Systems, Theory of Design, etc., taken in the Electronic Engineering career of the UPS Headquarters Quito-Campus Sur. The parachute prototype design was based on a commercial model of the Mars 58 brand, which is powered by a high compression spring system. The respective tests of the operation of the intelligent drone parachute will be carried out, which will allow the students and teachers of the Salesian Polytechnic University to handle unmanned aerial vehicles safely, avoiding collisions and damages in the Dron, and through an application in a Smart Phone The Dron landing site can be located.
