Descripción
Summary:The purpose of this project is to simulate and implement a functional predictive controller, known as PFC (Predictive Funtional Control), manipulating the temperature variable in the continuous process training platform of the Control Theory laboratory of the Polytechnic University Salesian from the South Campus in Quito. The simulation is done through the software Matlab and LabVIEW respectively, the implementation of the process is executed by a CompactRIO-9073 NI device, this controller offers greater flexibility to software and hardware with respect to other controllers. The modeling of the temperature plant is done using equations in the state space by means of a methodology that presents stages such as data acquisition, data acquisition, system modeling and system validation. Finally, the PFC predictive algorithm of the real-time temperature process is implemented to examine its performance. A PID controller is also developed to make a comparison of the performance parameters with respect to the predictive controller PFC.
