The hollow, is the term popularly used to refer to places where you can buy good services at affordable prices. This paper proposes a theoretical and visual approach to the "traditional hollow" of the historic center of Quito, in order to visualize information, images and updated texts on popular places among tourists and the general public. Furthermore, the research seeks to analyze the eating habits Quito and show traditional places. Through the investigation and subsequent realization of communicative product, it is to demonstrate ten traditional hollow the historic center of Quito by photographs of the dishes that are consumer preferred quiteños and foreign tourists, in conjunction with the respective interview with the owners of "hollow" giving testimony of the path leading to be the favorite of diners. |

Las denominadas “huecas tradicionales” del centro de la ciudad, las cuales se han transformado en parte de la historia de Quito, son parte del atractivo turístico que genera a nivel nacional e internacional. Las huecas, es el término de uso popular para denominar a lugares en los que se puede adquirir buenos servicios a precios accesibles. Este trabajo propone un acercamiento teórico y visual a las “huecas tradicionales” del centro histórico de Quito, con el objetivo de visibilizar información, imágenes y textos actualizados sobre los lugares concurridos entre los turistas y público en general. Por otro lado, la investigación busca analizar las costumbres alimenticias quiteñas, y mostrar lugares tradicionales.
