El drone del instituto geográfico militar, uso específico y su futura operación en áreas estratégicas requeridas por diferentes organizaciones

In the Ecuador, the use of the drone is relatively new, and it is increases exponentially, due to its many applications, this is the reason the Instituto Geográfico Militar (I.G.M.) started to venture in the usage of this type of artifacts for cartography production; in traditional aerial photography, the use an aircraft like the one owned has many limitations such as, the restriction to operate under optimal climate conditions, aircrew and aircraft availability, image treatment process, elevated logistics and operational costs. In many cases the I.G.M. had to apologize for not being able to address certain orders because of its lack of resources such as crew, aircraft maintenance, and optimal climate conditions. Nevertheless, the acquisition of Trimble drone was not carried out only to solve the aforementioned problem; instead, it was also obtained to develop research studies related with geography and cartography in the Antarctic region, specifically at the Pedro Vicente Maldonado Station and Fort William. The case study is organized starting from the problem statement, whose objectives are intended to achieve, then the developed and description of what happens in the management and operation of this equipment, so a structure is presented with: interviews, publications, studies, etc. that allow reason and interpret the events described in order to raise administrative solutions (services marketing, and customer service, environment labor among others), with presentation of relevant strategies in this case.
