Fotoreportaje sobre diálogos culturales representados en objetos artesanales de la Plaza de los Ponchos en Otavalo

The photo-report on the Andean symbolism about popular cultures in Ecuador is relevant. The trade has forced that the artisanal production has to be reassessing and modifying the cultural meaning of the same, in this way the present research identifies and shows new processes of cultural dialogues within the Plaza de los Ponchos in the city of Otavalo, province of Imbabura. The transculturation allows open field to investigate relevant aspects as new identity traits of a culture, the purpose is to know the transmission of knowledge, which have been implemented in artisan objects exposed in a square for their trade. It is important to recognize and expose in a photo-report information from the image on new signs and symbols that through hybridization have reached our country. This publishing product has as aim recognize the cultural dialogs and the Andean simbologías without losing features identidarios of Otavalo which meet threatened by the new technologies of the communication and by the transculturación, the otavaleños identify as a culture of the Andean World, with customs and traditions and in every handcrafted object his knowledge and his daily routine are represented, for them it was realized you interview persons with knowledge on the Andean simbología and partner investigated the processes of cultural changes.
