Proyecto, elaboración de mapas de amenazas por inundaciones en las ciudades de Huaquillas y Macará, obras de prevención.

The Ecuadorian coast has constantly suffered strong winter periods that have caused floods especially in marginal areas to cities principal, bringing with it a large amount of material losses, economic and human, that is why, this work tries to alleviate some way this situation hinders the growth of these populations by the development of hazard maps for floods in the cities of Huaquillas and Macará, the same ones that will be designed through the carrying out the hydrological study both in the Zarumilla river basins and in the Mandalá stream respectively, these maps will be executed by means of of a program called HEC-RAS Hydraulic Package, the same one that provides data such as flood levels for different periods of return, maximum and minimum height of flood, slopes, flows and areas in different parts of the river or stream, these maps will also help us to determine the level of threat to its inhabitants that can be high, medium or low with the objective that the territorial growth of these sectors be of In a safer and more orderly manner, in addition to this, it will be recommended that types of structural and non-structural works will be necessary to avoid these floods, as well as, the environmental impact that the phase of construction and maintenance of said works.
