Video reportaje del grupo de baile tradicional “Los Rucos” del barrio La Concepción de Alpahuma.

This paper will inform about "Los Rucos" traditional dance in the neighborhood La Concepción de Alpahuma, located in Alangasí Parish, Quito Canton. The present work will provide information about its origins, formation, development, history and important details; which will also permit to recognize the cultural identity and will promote the participation of youth people in the neighborhood. The final purpose of this work is to créate a communicative product, which wil seek to perpetuate the relevant and essential information about “Los Rucos” dance group, the main readers will be the neighborhood residents, the second beneficiaries will be the Valle de los Chillos inhabitants, and finally the indirect recipients will all the interested people in knowing about the neighborhood identify, by using this paper as reference document for future work or research. The central idea is to register the traditions of this group, since there is no documentary or audiovisual information regarding, being that this dance is the greatest identity exponent of La Concepción de Alpahuma neighborhood. The lack of information about origin and formation on this topic may trigger the loss of oral and cultural tradition in one of the most representative neighborhoods of the área, even to the point of being at risk of completely disappearing. Due to this, the dissemination of information is of the highest importance, for which purpose the creation of dialogue means has been proposed between the dance group and the residents, where the message will be the origin and formation of this traditional dance.
