Estará fundamentada en base a una investigación descriptiva y bibliográfica desarrollada con temas relacionados a la Comunicación, Periodismo, Discurso, Análisis de Discurso, Semiótica, Deporte, Fútbol, Barras Bravas, Cánticos Futbolísticos, Figuras Retóricas, etc., mismos que están detallados en cuatro capítulos de estudio. El principal objetivo de la presente tesis es analizar el contenido de los cánticos futbolísticos para determinar el concepto y significado de los mensajes que son transmitidos a los hinchas de los equipos de fútbol más representativos del Ecuador como son: Club Sport Emelec, Barcelona Sporting Club, Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito y Sociedad Deportivo Quito los cuales han sobresalido no solo por su técnica de juego sino por su organización en los grupos llamados Barras Bravas que utilizan cánticos de aliento muchos casos creados y en otros por influenciados por equipos del exterior que son expresados en los graderíos de los diferentes escenarios deportivos del país.
