Summary:The implementation of television, in the educational field, has served as an important tool in the advancement of teaching techniques. EDUCA is an educational television program aimed at different types of target audience, in order to reinforce the knowledge that is taught mainly in schools and colleges. The analysis of this proposal promoted by the Ministry of Education of Ecuador is given in order to highlight the role of information and communication technologies in the field of education and, in turn, the acceptance it has among the Ecuadorian public. For this reason, the analysis that will be developed in the present research will be understood by means of the study of the categories that the EDUCA program presents to us as priorities and then to compare them with previous experiences already carried out in other countries. It is important to highlight the role of technology in the field of education, as the world is in the midst of the leaps and bounds of technological networks in homes. Communication and pedagogy have a close relationship that over the years has been intensifying, in the midst of them technology has served as an ally to strengthen teaching methods, however, can not be given the character of a savior.
