Descripció
Sumari:The current research was carried out into the Kutukú Biological Station forest delimitation, with the purpose of determining the forest components according to the structure, floristic composition and biological diversity, where an uninvolved forest was considered, which implies a very significant sample, equivalent to the total area of the forest that is ten hectares, located in the parish of Seville Don Bosco, canton Morona, province of Morona Santiago. For the sampling of the vegetation, a global quantification of all the species present in the forest plot was established, within which two subplots of 100 m by 50 m were determined, based on a hundred percent forest census, classifying to species within the arboreal and shrub layer. The structural parameters of the arboreal and shrub layer were calculated, by means of the indexes of value of importance, population quantification and biological diversity, as well as the elaboration of a photographic album, in which it is detailed through images, each one of the species presents in the forest with their respective use and characteristics, represented and arranged according to the evolutionary age of the development and appearance of the species. In the Forest of the Kutukú Biological Station, 36 families, 61 genera and 92 species and 5,007 floristic individuals per hectare were identified and registered, of which, the tree stratum has 29 families, 51 genera, 75 species and 4,662 individuals, and the shrub layer with 7 families, 10 genera, 17 species and 345 individuals.
