Summary:This research attempts to carry out an analysis of the inclusion of teenagers in the political process and citizen participation in Ecuador. At the same time it introduces the Citizenship as the key player that provides and individual or collective relationship with the State, in order to exercise rights and duties. Due to the fact that Ecuador has a democratic system, it allows the country to govern the citizens throught an election process which in turn designates the rulers. These rules shall be vested whit power to represent the people. They are ultimately responsible for making decision that the shall affect or benefit the country. This election process takes place at the media where the content of electoral propaganda affects the voters´ political orientation in addition, it is vital to take into consideration that or study group comprises the population between 16 and 17 years where voting is not compulsory.
