Diseño de un sistema de agua potable para el comité de desarrollo comunitario Los Pinos, provincia de Pichincha, Cantón Mejía

The San José Los Pinos neighborhood, located in the Cutuglahua parish, Canton Mejía, Pichincha province, does not have a potable water distribution system. This has caused great discomfort among residents, both economically and socially. The objective of the project is to provide a solution to this problem, through the implementation of a potable water distribution system. Two alternatives are proposed for the design of water conduction; The storage tank will have a circular section with a reserve volume of 100 m3. A closed distribution network shall be used with pressure reducing and venting valves. The drinking water system will be composed of the following elements: catchment, treatment plant, reservoir, pipeline and distribution network. Those that will be designed according to the standards: EX IEOS, SENAGUA, EPMAPS-Q Drinking Water Design Standards, and the Ecuadorian Construction Standard, the design will be made for a 30 year life. The results obtained were favorable, both in the hydraulic designs, as well as in the analyzed economic parameters (VAN, TIR, B / C); which indicates that the project is viable for its execution. The Environmental Impact study was also carried out, which plays a very important role in the execution of the project, because it will avoid causing damage to the project intervention area.
