Estudio comparativo del tratamiento del periodismo de investigación en los periódicos El Comercio y El Telégrafo de Quito

This thesis research has for object a comparative study in ecuadorian newspapers, taking as references to a private and a public medium, inside the relevant political information issued by the newspapers "El Comercio" and "El Telégrafo" in the period January- March of 2011. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the journalistic treatment, content, structure, order, presentation and visual composition of the publications. The sample was selected through a compilation of national political texts published in the three months. Subsequently, was performed a categorization, inside the subject that more coverage had in this period, the same that was the consulta popular. Also was determined, through a quantification, the genres that are more used in the papers mentioned above.
