Gaia:The ethno-veterinary is interrelated, linked and / or as part of other natural , organic and conventional veterinary medicine, not only contributes to the maintenance and enhancement of biodiversity and cultural diversity of human groups but also contributes to food security thereof by generally sustainable agroecological methods of therapy and prophylaxis production and use of animals. Ethnobotany studies the relationships between human groups and their plant environment, ie the use and development of plants in different cultural spaces. This scientific discipline is directed to the relationship of the plant kingdom with human culture who discovers that the plants remain the treasure of indigenous societies and popular tradition of peasant society. In the community of Pichik parish San Lucas conducted research on the ethnobotanical knowledge, Saraguro ethnicity with emphasis on herbal pets, and were included all the plants that are used by community members for the diagnosis and treatment of the various diseases that occur in pets.
