| Summary: | This graduation project aims to produce a series of micro-documentaries focused on disseminating and promoting the cultural traditions of the Santa Elena province in Ecuador, using an audiovisual and communicational approach characteristic of multimedia design. The proposal is based on the need to contribute to the preservation of intangible cultural heritage through short, accessible audiovisual formats adapted to contemporary digital environments. The research is conducted using a qualitative approach, employing techniques such as direct observation, interviews with cultural bearers, and audiovisual recording in community and public spaces throughout the province. These tools allowed for the collection of testimonies, practices, and knowledge related to artisanal fishing, traditional gastronomy, dance, crafts, and local historical memory. Each micro-documentary was conceived as an independent narrative unit, with an approximate duration of one to three minutes, prioritizing communicative conciseness and direct contact with the participants. From a multimedia design perspective, the project integrates visual identity criteria, audiovisual narrative, and digital dissemination strategies, incorporating graphic resources, visual transitions, and soundscapes generated using contemporary technological tools, without compromising the authenticity of the cultural content. The result is an audiovisual product that strengthens the link between culture, design, and communication, demonstrating the potential of the micro-documentary as an effective format for promoting cultural identify, fostering interest among young audiences, and contributing to the tourism and education outreach of the province of Santa Elena in contemporary digital contexts. |
