Propuesta de un manual de uso de las redes sociales para la radio on line mujeres contando en voz alta

It is important to start a discussion on gender and particularly communication and gender. The role played by women within the media has to be analyzed with a nondiscriminatory and inclusive perspective. Meanwhile it is imperative to reinforce the existence of diverse opinion media. We have to overcome the image of sexual objects or housewives, which is part of the exclusion and inequality reality present every day. The introduction of gender studies alongside to feminism, pretends to recover the role of women in the society. Sex assignment cannot be anymore a determinant in the perception of intelligence or the access to education. The project Mujeres Contando and other initiatives struggle for gender equity so that we can overcome exclusion of a historically ignored fight: equal access to opportunities no matter whether we are women or men. Part of the project Mujeres Contando does not only comprehend an on line radio, it has evolved to benefit of the possibilities that the information and communication technologies offer. The diffusion of gender based information is one of the mechanisms that this project has decided to close the gaps of the most disadvantaged. Social networks have become an important ally to the purpose of Mujeres Contando, therefore the creation of a manual of use of this resource is a milestone to benefit from the 2.0 technologies. Finally we pretend to create a set of strategies focused on the discussion of gender issues.
