| Тойм: | The increasing load demand has caused the electrical systems to suffer from problems like voltage instability, which is a reason for these systems to operate near their maximal capacity. In this paper sign a solution to this problem is presented using an algorithm based in optimal placement of capacitors in distribution systems. This algorithm uses a multi objective optimization method which leads us to state the following: minimize active losses and investment costs, this algorithm allows to find the best solution to the problem without wasting resources, complying with all parameters and technical restrictions that are necessary for the reliability of the system. This article indicates why it is convenient to place specific points that need to be injected with reactive power, to later install capacitor banks, enhancing the voltage level of the whole system. For the modeling of the problem an IEEE 39-bus system was used, then the analysis in its initial form was made and finally compared with the results obtained with the optimization algorithm. |
