Desarrollo de estrategias de rehabilitación urbana sostenible en el Centro Histórico de Ambato, al entorno del Complejo Recreacional La Yahuira.

The objective of this research project is to structure several sustainable urban rehabilitation strategies to achieve correct territorial planning in the surroundings of the La Yahuira Recreational Complex and thus enhance the quality of life of the residents and the environment in which they operate. The analysis is based on several problems identified in the sector through a problem tree, one of these is the loss of urban identity, this is an important aspect since it is intended to be recovered with these strategies. The research approach is based on two important techniques: qualitative and quantitative, through interviews and surveys with residents, visitors and passersby of the sector, questions were asked regarding the lack of street furniture, the main activity of the sector, among others. others, who helped us support the proposal of various strategies proposed. The results showed us the lack of lighting, trees, sustainable means of transportation and benches on the avenues that will offer pedestrians a break from their daily activities, in addition to the fact that the sector has universal accessibility. It is also important to make a diagnosis based on the urban morphology of the study area. Finally, with all this analysis, six urban rehabilitation strategies were developed based on sustainable mobility, rehabilitation of heritage facades, adaptation of public space, increase of green spaces and roads that will help recover the environment of this heritage building, improve the quality of life of its inhabitants, the insecurity of the place and reactivate the local economy.
