Description
Summary:In this analysis, the data of limnimetric stations with influence in the study area was collected, processed, selected and excluded , generating the series of flows that was used in the analysis, the return period was obtained based on the recommendations of the NEVI -12, the design flow was obtained by means of a goodness-of-fit test of stochastic projections that relates the methods of probabilistic distribution of Gumbel and Pearson type III, the coefficient of rugosity of the channel was determined based on the methods of Cowan and Ven Tee Chow, which data obtained from the field visit in which relevant information was collected at depths, coverage, and visual identification of the type of soil present in the riverbed. The topography of the area of influence was obtained based on the topographic charts in a scale of 1:1000 provided by the Planning Department of the GAD Municipality of Ambato, then the mathematical simulation model of the avenue was continued with the Hec-Ras program, which generated the flood area of the analyzed area, thematic plans were drawn up and the summary of plans was drawn up in which the recommended distance of construction of civil works from the river axis was indicated. The hydraulic design of the project was based on the NEVI-12-MTOP standard; Volume No. 2 - Book B, the Ecuadorian Construction Code, part IX, Sanitary Works CO 10.07 - 601 and the Hydrology, Hydraulics and Drainage Manual of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Peru, has determined a return period of 261 years, a design flow of 123.18 m3/Sg, a maximum flood height of 5 meters above the level of the river bed and a flood area of 44.48 hectares.
