Summary:In the vast kingdom of nature, there are hidden treasures of colors that have been used since time immemorial. These pigments, derived from plant, animal and mineral sources, offer a powerful and environmentally friendly alternative to synthetic pigments derived from petroleum. In a world where environmental awareness is constantly growing, interest in the use of natural pigments has intensified, driven by the need to reduce the negative impact of the textile industry on our planet. This research consists precisely of evaluating its aesthetic viability and suitability to respond to the growing demands for sustainability in the fashion industry. Some illustration methods and techniques are also presented. This investigation was developed through three different levels such as: the first consisted of obtaining information through a matrix of focus groups with students from the Textile and Clothing Design program, as well as interviews with illustrators. In the second stage, it goes from theory to practice towards experimentation with natural pigments. Through meticulously designed color tests, explore the range of aesthetic possibilities these pigments offer. Finally, a catalog is presented where the practical application of pigments in the representation of textiles is exhibited, not only serving as a showcase of the creative capabilities of natural pigments, but also as an educational tool aimed at raising awareness and motivating future designers. fashionable about the infinite possibilities of sustainability in his art
