Riassunto:Nowadays, more and more objects have a small identity, and this is due to the new fast fashion trends. The jewellery industry is no exception, as thanks to its influence and fashion business model it is currently imbued with consumer demand always at the forefront of new trends launched by the market. Crime in the city of Ambato has had a number of negative effects in recent years, such as the purchase of jewellery as a luxury item that makes them unsafe, which causes consumers to purchase accessories or costume jewellery. On the other hand, new trends in jewellery demand that jewellery design should convey emotions to the buyer and become part of the wearer, creating an emotional bond. This research work is dedicated to analysing the most representative identity elements of the city of Ambato in order to develop jewellery collections with an ambateño identity. The method used is mixed as it allows us to obtain a broader analysis of the needs and preferences of the user, so interviews and surveys will be carried out with ambateño women from a middle and upper-middle social stratum. An interview will also be carried out with world-renowned Ecuadorian designers.
