Crynodeb:The integrative project proposes to explore textile interventions in denim, taking the paintings of the Tigua community as a source of inspiration. A detailed analysis of each painting and its most prominent symbolic elements was carried out, in order to reinterpret them in contemporary textile designs. It focused on experimentation with various textile techniques, with the aim of creating unique pieces that reflect the cultural essence of the Tigua community and that can be integrated into the textile industry. This project is carried out in order to revalue the paintings of the Tigua culture through a catalog, applying various surface treatments such as printing, DTF, laser engraving, foil, textile vinyl, among others. Based on bibliographic studies, a descriptive methodology is also used, which includes interviews with artisans and cards with Edwin Panofsky's method to interpret their symbolism. Through the detailed analysis obtained from the interviews carried out and the experimentation sheets, it was possible to identify the meanings of each of the paintings of the Tigua community. These findings provided a deeper understanding of the symbolic richness present in works of art, allowing us to distinguish which experimental techniques are most appropriate to highlight and preserve these meanings both before and after the washing process. This detailed approach not only enriched an understanding of the paintings, but also contributed significantly to the development of a more informed and sensitive textile intervention process, which respects and enhances the cultural authenticity of the original works.
