| Shrnutí: | This project arises from the need to transform and renew the design proposals in stage costumes, seeking to effectively integrate the technical functionality with the artistic expressiveness required in ballet performances, the collection focuses on the creation of costumes for the play “Alice in Wonderland”, combining functional and aesthetic aspects to meet the specific needs of the dancers and the narrative requirements of the work, which included a qualitative and ethnographic approach, using focus groups with dancers, interviews with choreographers and designers, as well as technical analysis of textile interventions and observation of classical ballet movements. The results culminated in the design of a collection of classical ballet stage costumes, incorporating elements of Victorian style and textile intervention techniques. Designs were developed for the main characters Alice, Queen of Hearts, Mad Hatter, March Hare, White Rabbit and Cheshire Cat. The research concludes in the integration of textile interventions in scenic costume design, allowing to improve both the functionality and the visual narrative of the costume, contributing significantly to the characterization of the characters and the overall quality of the scenic representation. |
